Local authenticity
Every listing comes from people with real roots in the place. No manufactured experiences, no copy-paste tourism packages.
Tragovel is a discovery platform built to surface authentic local experiences — events, festivals, markets, and places — starting in Colombia and growing from there.
Our mission
We believe the best travel moments are not curated by algorithms trained on stock photography. They are found in a flower market at dawn in Medellín, in the beat of a drum during the Carnaval de Barranquilla, in a café hidden behind a wooden door in the Eje Cafetero.
Our mission is to make those moments findable. We connect curious people with the real cultural life of the places they visit — built by and for the communities that live there.
“The best travel moments are found, not manufactured.”
Where we come from
Tragovel was founded in 2026 by a team based in Colombia. We grew up watching travellers miss the best parts of the country because no single platform showed them where the real life was happening: the Friday street markets in Bogotá's Usaquén, the Feria de las Flores in Medellín, the walled-city festivals in Cartagena, the coffee-harvest celebrations across the Eje Cafetero.
Colombia gave us the brief. A country with one of the richest calendars of local culture in Latin America, and almost no digital infrastructure to match. We started building here — and we are not planning to stop.
What we stand for
Every listing comes from people with real roots in the place. No manufactured experiences, no copy-paste tourism packages.
Organisers, vendors, and locals are not our content sources — they are our partners. Their success is the product.
We show you what something is, honestly. Dates, locations, prices, organiser contact — all visible, no dark patterns.
We favour experiences that keep money in local hands and reduce pressure on over-visited sites. Discovery should distribute.
What you can find
Squares, markets, lookouts, and neighbourhoods worth knowing — from the Gold Museum in Bogotá to the waterfront in Cartagena.
Concerts, exhibitions, screenings, and one-off gatherings. Across every Colombian city, every weekend.
The Feria de las Flores, the Carnaval de Barranquilla, the Ibero-American Theatre Festival, the Jazz al Parque. The ones you plan a trip around.
Artisan fairs, farmers' markets, antique fairs. Mercado del Río in Medellín. Mercado de las Pulgas in Bogotá. The real commercial culture of the city.
Sample figures — updated as the platform grows.
